Age of Iron
Dwarven Kingdoms
Dwarven kingdoms are often considered marvels of dwarven architecture and engineering, their works often last for centuries even after their cities have been abandoned, and are often the targets of adventurers seeking rare artifacts and treasure. There are many abandoned dwarven kingdoms spread throughout the world, many lost and no maps to indicate where they are. There are no longer as many dwarven kingdoms as there once were as war, population decline, or something caused the resident dwarves to abandon their cities. Today there are only a few dwarven kingdoms left, though dwarven kingdoms are also called Deepholms.
Kam Todur
Kam Todur is the largest Shield Dwarven kingdom within Aslane, and is located just north of the city of Ptolus. The clans of Kam Todur are renowned fighters, and came to Ptolus's defense when the city was assaulted by the Dark Armies. Several of the clans have been known to put together expeditions to attempt to locate and reclaim many of the dwarves lost kingdoms and glory. To date, none of the expeditions have reclaimed any of the lost kingdoms, but have located many, which have become regular targets for adventurers from the Adventurer's Guild.
Gol Buldar
Gol Buldar is another shield dwarven kingdom that is located just to the east of the Kingdom of Datia, who are regular trading partners. The clans of Gol Buldar are considered to be among the finest craftsmen among the dwarven races, and their finished weapons, armor, and other pieces go for enourmous sums of money.
While their cousins from Kam Todur seek to reclaim the lost kingdoms, the dwarves of Gol Buldar seek to protect what they have built, but often clash with the duegar who inhabit the connection point between the upper and lower worlds.
