Hyur
Midlanders
Highlanders
Hyur are the most populous race, found on nearly every continent, and are considered the youngest of the mortal races. The hyur are adaptable and able to master nearly any skill they come across from weapons to politics. The hyur are cousins to the older Nords, though the similarities between them are mostly physical.
The hyur have a multitude of skin, eye, and hair colors, and vary greatly in physical shape and height, more so than any race. The hyur can be separated into two types depending on where they have settled, with the terrain having affected their builds and cultures. They can be identified as either Midlanders or Highlanders.
The Midlanders have settled on the fertile and vast plains and forests of Aslane, Odera, and Iabis, and stand between 4'8" to 5'9" in the males, and 4'5" to 5'7" with the females. Midlanders often choose between the warrior, magical, or political skills, and constitute most of the hyur kingdoms prior to the war. Now with the war over, the midlanders only hold the Datia Kingdom.
The highlanders have settled the rugged and rocky highlands and mountains of Aslane, and typically choose the warrior professions, though many often choose the magical and political professions as well. The highlanders have taller and thicker builds than their midlander cousins. The highlanders, like their midlander cousins, suffered greatly during the war with the Dark Lord, many of their own nations falling. Now they hold only the Leania Kingdom.
Many midlanders and highlanders also reside within the Nordic nations, though the midlanders are mostly found in the Draconis Kingdom and Daerlon Empire. The highlanders are mostly found within the Dieveth Confederacy, and comprise the bulk of Dievethian forces, just as the midlanders comprise the bulk of Draconis and Daerlonian forces due to the fact that the nord do not reproduce as quickly as their hyur cousins.
