Elves

Elves are the oldest race on Aslane, and were the first to emerge behind the dragons. Originally known as the eladrin, they founded and ruled a powerful kingdom now known only in myth and legend, the Silverin Kingdom. The Silverin Kingdom was destroyed hundreds of years ago, so long ago that not even the oldest elven elders know where its capital city was located or how large the kingdom was.

The eladrin elves eventually evolved into distinct sub-races that include sun, moon, forest, and dark elves, each claiming their own territories and cultures. The current generations of elves are so far removed from the eladrin, that the eladrin are virtually extinct now, leaving only their descendants. Most elves tend to stand between 4'4" to 5'9" with the men, and 4'3" to 5'7" for the females. Both genders tend to be lithe, graceful bodies, and have an ethereal beauty that is said to only be matched by the most beautiful women of the nord and luhkta.

The Sun Elves(also called Gold Elves) tend to live in the hidden valley's of Aslane, prefering to keep to their own cities and lands. They generally have golden blonde hair and lightly tanned skin with a golden tint. Their eyes tend to be a deep blue or yellow with flecks of gold in the iris. They tend to prefer the magical arts, and comprise many of Aslane's best mages.

Moon Elves(also called Silver Elves) are likely to be the closest living relatives to the eladrin, though only by their physical appearance according to ancient depictions of the eladrin. They have dark hair ranging from black to dark brown, and have vivid blue or green eyes with flecks of silver in the irises. They often live among the hyur, and nord, finding the cultures of the other races stimulating. They often choose from a wide range of classes, including fighter, ranger, and mage.

Forest Elves(also called Wood Elves) call the vast forests of Aslane home, their territories often interlaping with those of hyur and the nords, though more often than not, the interactions are amicable. They tend to have pale blonde or brown hair, and most have green or yellow-green eyes. Forest elves also have sturdier builds than other elven races, which suits them just fine as most forest elves choose to be rangers, and are considered to be among the best archers on Aslane.

Dark Elves(also called the drow) are subterranean dwellers that live deep beneath the surface of Aslane in long, deep winding tunnels and caverns known as the Underworld. Inside reside monsters and dangers unknown to the surface world, yet the drow thrive there. Largely considered to be evil, the dark elves thrive in a world without light, often raiding surface settlements for slaves and loot. They all have ebony colored skin, stark white or blonde hair, and their eyes range from blue and red to the rarer purple. Drow are powerful magic-users, and their warriors are feared by nearly all and respected by all.
