Types of Sclabhai

 

There are many types of Sclabhai found among the different nations, each with different styles of clothing, colors, hair, as well as varying personalities.  They can be grouped into three categories however, each category encompassing a different enviroment that the Sclabhai are found in.

 

Deasach(desəx) Sclabhai: The Deasach or Southern Sclabhai are most commonly found in the temperate flatlands of Caledon Prime.  They are also called Aeyostan Sclabhai due to the manner of their silks, which are common in the Aeyostan City-States on Caledon Prime.  They are considered to be the most beautiful of the Sclabhai, since a large part of their training has to do with beauty treatments and staying clean.  Like their northern and eastern counter-parts, the Aeyostan Sclabhai serve a vital function in society.

 

 

Tuath(tuə) Sclabhai: The Tuath or Northern Sclabhai are commonly found in the colder northern regions of the northlands known as Dievethia, and wear warm kirtles to protect themselves from the cold when outdoors.  While just as beautiful as their southern and eastern counter-parts, the northern sclabhai are considered hardier thanks to a good diet, and having greater physical labor demanded of them, though care is taken to ensure that they do not lose their beauty.  While beauty treatments are not part of the northern sclabhai's training, they are trained to keep clean to maintain good health, so it is rare to find a northern sclabhai with dirt, muck, and other marks on their skin and hair.  They are also called Dievethian Sclabhai, since the northern sclabhai originated within the old nord clans on Caledon Prime.

 

 

Searach(ʃɛrəx) Sclabhai: The Searach or Eastern Sclabhai are like the southern sclabhai in having beauty treatments as part of their training, as well as cleanliness.  Found in arid and desert regions of Aslane, the eastern sclabhai are also called Daerlonian Sclabhai.  Unlike their southern and northern counter-parts, eastern sclabhai do not have many physical chores demanded of them.  This is due to the fact that in an arid or desert area, it is often too hot to venture outdoors very often, so most work is done in the cooler hours of morning and dusk.  They wear a style of silks that on Earth would be called belly dancer silks, which help to keep them cool during the hot days.
