Age of Iron
Overview
The Iron Islands are home to the nords, a race that is related to the hyur of the Aslane, Shinson, and Freasa continents as well as the Kyonsai Shogunate, though some believe the hyur are descended from the nord.

The Iron Islands consist of 20 islands, varying from very large islands to small islands. While the largest islands can accomodate more than a dozen clans with plenty of room to spare, the smaller islands usually hold no more than 2 or 3 clans at a time, with the smallest island holding only a single clan. The Iron Islands do not have much arable land, being mostly mountain and forest, which leads well to the nords being excellent sailors.

The nords as a result of their islands not having much arable land, have turned to trade and raiding as a means of acquiring what they need to survive. They trade with everyone, though who they trade with depends on several factors, which include what the other nations are willing to offer in exchange for them to not raid them. Since the Iron Islands are rich in iron and other metals, the nords trade raw ore, ingots and gems for food, lumber, and other necessities. When there is not suitable tributes, the nord will raid one coastal village or town after another, taking anything they can find, food, drink, goods, raw materials, women, and whatever wealth they can find, killing any who resist. There have been times when they have raided well inland from time to time.
